Changes – Part One – “The Wrath”
Wonder - Lyrics
Wonder
Have you ever seen the wonder
In the glimmer of first sight
As the eyes begin to open
And the blindness meets the light
If you have so say
I see the world in light
I see the world in wonder
I see the world in life
Bursting in living color
I see the world Your way
And I’m walking in the light
Have you ever seen the wonder
In the air of second life
Having come out of the waters
With the old one left behind
If you have so say
I see the world in light
I see the world in wonder
I see the world in life
Bursting in living color
I see the world Your way
And I’m walking in the light
(Ooh I say) I see the world in grace
I see the world in gospel
I see the world Your way
And I’m walking in the light
I’m walking in the wonder
You’re the wonder in the wild
Turning wilderness to wonder
(Ooh I say) I see the world in love
I see the world in freedom
I see the Jesus way
You’re the wonder in the wild
I see the world Your way
And I’m not afraid to follow
I see the world Your way
And I’m not ashamed to say so
I see the Jesus way
And I’m walking in the light
I see the world in light
I see the world in wonder
I see the world in life
Bursting in living color
I see the world Your way
And I’m walking in the light
Ooh, I say, I see the world in grace
I see the world in gospel
I see the world Your way
And I’m walking in the light
I’m walking in the wonder
You’re the wonder in the wild
Turning wilderness to wonder
(Ooh I say) I see the world in love
I see the world in freedom
I see the Jesus way
You’re the wonder in the wild
Turning wilderness to wonder
You’re the wonder in the wild
Turning wilderness to wonder
Free in You - Lyrics
Free in You
You took these lies, replaced these scars
With who I am, with who You are
You bore the cross, You loosed the chains
Made me your child, no longer a slave
And I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, I’m free in You
You led me out to draw me near
Bound me to love and not to fear
Through all the earth, Your freedom rings
Released my soul and now I sing
And I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, I’m free in You
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, I’m free in You
You bind up the broken hearted
And bring down the walls of darkness
You have come to set the captives free
(repeat)
And I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, I’m free in You
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, Oh Lord
I’m set free, I’m free in You
Steadfast - Lyrics
Steadfast
I will build my house
Whether storm or drought
On the rock that does not move
I will set my hope
In your love, O Lord
And Your faithfulness will prove
You are steadfast, steadfast
You are steadfast, steadfast
By the word You spoke
All the starry host
Are called out by name each night
In Your watchful care
I will rest secure
As You lead me with Your light
You are steadfast, steadfast
You are steadfast, steadfast
I will not trust in the strength of kings
On Your promise I will stand
I will shout for joy, I will raise my voice
Hallelujah to the Lamb!
You are steadfast, steadfast
You are steadfast, steadfast
In the moment of emptiness
All was fulfilled
In the hour of darkness
Your light was revealed
In the presence of death
Your life was affirmed
In the absence of holiness
You are still God
You are steadfast, steadfast
You are steadfast, steadfast
Your Love is Strong - Lyrics
Your Love is Strong
Heavenly Father You always amaze me
Let your kingdom come
in my world and in my life
You give me the food I need
to live through the day
And forgive me as I forgive
the people that wronged me
Keep me far from temptation
Deliver me from the evil one
I look out the window
The birds are composing
Not a note is out of tune or out of place
I walk to the meadow
And stare at the flowers
Better dressed than any girl
On her wedding day
So why should I worry?
Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need
Your love is
Your love is
Your love is strong
(repeat 4x)
The kingdom of the heavens
is now advancing
Invade my heart Invade this broken town
The kingdom of the heavens
is buried treasure
Will you sell yourself
To buy the one you’ve found?
Two things you told me
That you are strong
And you love me Yes, you love me
Your love is
Your love is
Your love is strong
(repeat 4x)
Our God in heaven
Hallowed be Thy name above all names
Your kingdom come Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us weary sinners
Keep us far from our vices
And deliver us from these prisons
Scripture Reading
Romans 5:6-11
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also celebrate in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Luke 15:11-24
And He said, “A man had two sons. 12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that is coming to me.’ And so he divided his wealth between them. 13 And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered his estate in wild living. 14 Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began doing without. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he longed to have his fill of the carob pods that the pigs were eating, and no one was giving him anything. 17 But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired laborers have more than enough bread, but I am dying here from hunger! 18 I will set out and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me as one of your hired laborers.”’ 20 So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet; 23 and bring the fattened calf, slaughter it, and let’s eat and celebrate; 24 for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.

Sermon Slides / Quotes
Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Malachi 3:6
“For I the Lord do not change.”
James 1:17
“Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
2 Samuel 24:1-3
Again the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.” So the king said to Joab and the army commanders with him, “Go throughout the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and enroll the fighting men, so that I may know how many there are.” But Joab replied to the king, “May the Lord your God multiply the troops a hundred times over, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king want to do such a thing?”
1 Chronicles 21:1-3
Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel. So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, “Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.” But Joab replied, “May the Lord multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord’s subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”
Hebrews 1:3
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.”
Romans 5:9 (NASB) “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”
In Greek: “we shall be saved through him from the wrath.”
Wisdom of Solomon 18:20 – 23
Yea, the tasting of death touched the righteous also, and there was a destruction of the multitude in the wilderness: but the wrath endured not long. For then the blameless man made haste, and stood forth to defend them; and bringing the shield of his proper ministry, even prayer, and the propitiation of incense, set himself against the wrath, and so brought the calamity to an end, declaring that he was thy servant. So he overcame the destroyer, not with strength of body, nor force of arms, but with a word subdued him-that-punished, alleging the oaths and covenants made with the fathers. For when the dead were now fallen down by heaps one upon another, standing between, he stayed the wrath, and parted the way to the living.
God Will Heal Our Wounds - Lyrics
God Will Heal Our Wounds
We want to seek you in our own ways
We’ll fast and we’ll sing
we’ll give for our gain
You’re telling us that it’s not ok
You don’t need another song
You don’t want our empty praise
If we stop loving on our own terms
God will heal our wounds
God will heal our wounds
(repeat)
We want the blessing of the God we made
To live in the privilege
he’ll do what we say
You’re telling us there’s a different way
To seek less for ourselves
to pour out every day
If we stop loving on our own terms
God will heal our wounds
God will heal our wounds
(repeat)
Home, home, home
home where the fasting that you seek
Is breaking chains, breaking free
Home, home, home
home where the songs that we sing
Move the ground underneath
Home, home, home
home where the worship that you seek
Feeds the hungry, the ones in need
Home, home, home
home where love that we seek
Is growing gardens, fixing streets
Is growing bridges, planting trees
Is digging wells for all to drink
Is finding light for us to see
Is building trust between you and me
Is building strength and family
If we stop loving on our own terms
God will heal our wounds
God will heal our wounds
(repeat)
Holy Water - Lyrics
Holy Water
God, I’m on my knees again
God, I’m begging please again
I need You
Oh, I need You
Walking down these desert roads
Water for my thirsty soul
I need You
Oh, I need You
Your forgiveness
Is like sweet, sweet honey
On my lips
Like the sound of a symphony
To my ears
Like Holy water on my skin
Dead man walking, slave to sin
I wanna know about being born again
I need You
Oh, God, I need You
So, take me to the riverside
Take me under, baptize
I need You
Oh, God, I need You
Your forgiveness
Is like sweet, sweet honey
On my lips
Like the sound of a symphony
To my ears
Like Holy water on my skin
I don’t wanna abuse Your grace
God, I need it every day
It’s the only thing that ever really
Makes me wanna change
Your forgiveness
Is like sweet, sweet honey
On my lips
Like the sound of a symphony
To my ears
Like Holy water
Your forgiveness
Is like sweet, sweet honey
On my lips
Like the sound of a symphony
To my ears
Like Holy water on my skin
Like Holy water on my skin
Like Holy water on my skin
