Charles “Toby” Christian Harris

October 20, 1972 – June 30, 2016

Beloved father, husband, son, coach and friend, Charles lost his 2 year battle with Mesothelioma on Thursday morning, June 30. He is survived by his wife – Stacey, sons – Kohle and Niquoli, Father – Argel Harris, Mother – Sue Kainrad. Also survived by sisters, Debbie, Lori, Haley and Jessica, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  Charles was preceded in death by his brother Jeremy.

Charles was a beloved Ravenna youth and high school football coach for over 12 years and recently received his real-estate license for North Carolina in 2014. He loved giving bearhugs, coaching football, watching superhero movies, entertaining friends and family, driving a little too fast, campfires, and so much more. He loved his family and friends wholeheartedly and with great abandon. Despite the pain he suffered, Charles never once complained, and was held close by his faith in God.

A Memorial Service will be held at Transitions LifeCare (250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607), on Monday, July 4 at 4pm. Guests are asked to park behind the auditorium / administrative building and not in front of the Hospice Home. Following the memorial, everyone is welcome to the Harris household (1407 Laughridge Dr, Cary, NC 27511) for food and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to go toward education funds for Kohle and Niquoli. Donations can be made at the memorial or mailed directly to the family.
