Current Sermon / Series

Matthew 25:31-40

On that day, when the Son of Man comes—celebrated, surrounded by glory—all the nations will gather around him. And he’ll act like a shepherd, separating sheep from goats, right from left.

And he’ll say to those on his right, “Come! Receive the blessing of the kingdom of God—enter into the place you have always belonged. This is your home, because I was hungry and you fed me; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in. When I was naked, you were there with clothes for me; when I was sick, you took care of me; when I was in prison, you came to sit with me—you remembered me.”

They’ll be surprised, and say back, “When was that? When did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger? When did we feed you or give you a drink or take you in? We don’t remember you naked, or in prison; we don’t remember clothing you or sitting with you…”

And he will say to them, “This is the truth: whenever you did this to anyone — whenever you cared for anyone ignored or cast aside—you showed that same kindness to me.”
