Good morning, church family. We are in the midst of yet another dark moment in our nation’s racial history. But even to call it a “dark moment” betrays my white privilege, because here’s the reality. For me it is only when the pandemic of racism makes it to the news that I’m aware of the darkness, but my friends of color live in it every day. It’s more than a dark moment. The truth is we’ve never yet made it into the light.
