Jeremiah 33:14-16; Psalm 25:1-10; 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13; Luke 21:25-36. When Jeremiah spoke words of hope and promise to the Jewish people, he was speaking from (and into) great despair and darkness. They had left God’s storyline and found themselves in exile in Babylon. Could there be similarities between their story and the American Church? Have we too left God’s storyline? Have we too moved against the grain of love? Do we find ourselves in exile as well?
