Our 1st Cooking Matters Graduating Class
There are 1001 reasons why I love our faith community. But chief among them is our desire to serve and love those around us, and especially those who might have less. This fall, with the help of the Interfaith Food Shuttle, we hosted a 6 week cooking course designed to help teach people how to prepare healthy meals on a budget. It was FANTASTIC. The two classes graduated on Wednesday, Nov 16, and Thursday, Nov 17.
Please browse through the photos … and as you do, remember that this is the type of thing your financial giving makes possible. NOTE: these pictures are only from the Thursday night class. We had an even larger Wednesday night graduating class … photos coming soon.

Advent 2016 Just Christmas – Part 3 – Joy
12/11/2016 – Advent 2016 Just Christmas – Part 3 – Joy Luke 15:11-32. Joy seems to be in short supply these days. It’s in especially short supply if we equate joy with happiness. Joy is, of course, much bigger than happiness, and is founded in a sense of...

12/04/2016 – Advent 2016 Just Christmas – Part 2 – Peace Matthew 1:1-17. The genealogy of Jesus as Matthew records it includes the names of four women, which was a shocking departure from how genealogies had always been recorded. What does this “surprising” genealogy...

Philippians – Part 6

Thanksgiving Videos 2016 (submit one today!)
So here's what I need you to do ... Think about what you're thankful for ... but don't think too much. Part of what makes a project like this good is for it to be a bit unrehearsed and spontaneous. It could be about a person, an act of kindness, a book you read,...
Philippians – Part 5
11/13/2016 – Philippians – Part 5 Philippians 3:1-14, 17 In the early church, the Jewish Religious leaders were trying to impose rules and customs upon the Gentile believers for them to truly belong. How might this story help us respond in a healthy way to last week's...
Family Meeting 11/06/2016
11/06/2016 – Family Meeting From time to time, we as a church family need to pause and talk about things. Often these family meetings are practical in nature. This one was much more personal (and emotional). If you consider Ekklesia your church home and you missed...
