I could just stay right where I am …
But You have called me higher …
Blog post about: Worship at Christ Our King Community Church (4/30)

One of my favorite worship lyrics from the past few years comes from a song by All Sons & Daughters. It details with lyrical poetry something that cripples today’s church. We sit and wait when he has called us higher. It would be an understatement to say that we are excited about worship this upcoming Sunday (4/30). Pastor James White was one of the presenters at the CCDA conference in 2014 – a conference which champions (among other things) racial reconciliation and healing within the church.

We are not sitting and waiting. We are not staying right where we are. We are moving … because He has called us higher. He has called us to engage; to love; to move; to work for healing.

Beyond worship, we will have an opportunity to have lunch and break bread together after church! Ekklesia is providing burgers, hotdogs and chicken, but we are encouraging everyone to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Please join us this Sunday, 10am at Christ Our King Community Church as our two congregations join forces with the goal of moving further toward peace and unity!

Listen to the song mentioned above!
