Camp Haven – 2025

Ekklesia Church in Raleigh and Oak Church in Durham are proud to partner together to host Camp Haven, a summer camp designed specifically for middle schoolers and high schoolers. Camp Haven is a residential, week-long summer camp in western North Carolina where students are given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, participate in fun recreational activities, and engage in healthy spiritual practices. Our hope is that Camp Haven will be a safe place for students of all backgrounds as they come together to form a beautiful community that extends beyond our week together.

Here is some of the essential information that you should know about Camp Haven:

  • Minimum Age: Rising 6th graders for the 2025-2026 school year
  • Maximum Age: Newly graduated high school seniors
  • Dates: Sunday, July 13th- Friday, July 18th
  • Location: Taylorsville, NC
  • Cost: $495 per camper (includes all activities, meals, and lodging throughout the week)

  • Archery
  • Swimming (Pool and Lake)
  • Lake Tubing
  • Kayaking
  • 9 Square

Question: Do students need to be a part of any specific church or religious denomination in order to attend?
Answer: Although we are a church-based camp, we welcome students across all faith traditions (including those of no faith) as we seek to promote an inclusive setting for all. As our name reflects, our focus is on creating a safe place for all campers regardless of their background.

Question: Is financial assistance available?
Answer: Yes. We have a limited number of scholarships available for students who may need financial assistance. The scholarship amount for each individual camper is dependent upon need. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please indicate so when completing the registration form.

Question: Can I enroll in a payment plan?
Answer: Absolutely. If you would like to enroll in a payment plan, you can do so by setting up a recurring monthly payment at the link below. The recommended payment plan is $99 per month for five months (January-May), but other plans can be set up if so desired. The total cost of $495 must be paid in full by May 31st. To enroll in a payment plan, please follow the steps below:

  • Click on this link.
  • Under the “Give” heading, enter the amount that you would like to pay each month.
  • Under the “Frequency” heading, select “Regularly.” Then, select “Monthly” from the box under the same heading and select which day of the month that you would like to make your payments.
  • Under the “My first donation will be:” heading, select the month in which you would like to start making payments. (Please remember that all payments must be made in full by May 31st.)
  • Enter your email address, name, and payment method when prompted to do so.

Question: Can I volunteer at camp?
Answer: We are currently accepting applications for volunteer staff positions at Camp Haven. Staff members must be at least 18 years of age, complete a background check, and undergo a brief interview. Volunteer positions include counselors, kitchen staff, activity coordinators, medical personnel, and more. You can apply to be a Camp Haven volunteer at the link below.
