Current Sermon / Series

Matthew 22:15-22

15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”

18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? 19 Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.

Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

22 When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.

Music Night Out (with Lauren and Curtis)

If you are looking for a fun night out, Lauren and Curtis would love to have you join them at Sola on Friday, February 1st, 7:00pm. The night is free although Sola would certainly love to sell you a beverage and/or something to eat. Hope to see you there!!

Super Bowl / Anti Super Bowl Parties! (Feb 3)

We’re trying something a little bit different this year. A number of people have expressed a desire to party, but zero interest in the actual Super Bowl. And so this year, in addition to a more traditional Super Bowl Party, we are also offering our first ever Anti Super Bowl Party!! And so, if you want to party AND focus on the game, head over to Curtis’ home [click for details]. But if you want to party and could care less about the sports ball game, head over to the Freeman’s home [click for details]. And if you are a household-divided, fear not! The game will still be playing at the Freeman’s home, but with the volume set to zero.

      and …

Our Connekkt Youth and families are having their own Super Bowl party at the Bazers home (3809 Sparrow Pond Ln) February 3 at 5:30pm. There will be games, prizes, food, commercials and maybe even some football to watch!

      Family Hockey Night!

You can probably guess who is most excited about this event! Pastor Curtis’ hometown Edmonton Oilers will be in town on Friday, February 15, to play the Carolina Hurricanes. Tickets are $20. Talk to Bob Patterson or Pastor Curtis to reserve tickets!
