Current Sermon / Series

Genesis 1:27-28. God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

1 Samuel 15:3. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

Leviticus 12:1-5. The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period. 5 If, however, she gives birth to a daughter, for two weeks the woman will be unclean, as during her period. Then she must wait sixty-six days to be purified from her bleeding.

Leviticus 21:17-23. “Say to Aaron: ‘For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God.18 No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; 19 no man with a crippled foot or hand, 20 or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect … because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary.”

Leviticus 25:44-54. Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves … You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life.

Proverbs 23:13-14. Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. If you beat him with the rod, you will save his life from Sheol.

1 Timothy 2:11-13. A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

Connekkt Youth (rising 6th graders up through recent grads) will be off on a scavenger hunt after church on Sunday, June 3. The afternoon will start off with pizza, and then break into teams with an adult driver to head out and find the clues hidden throughout the city. The chase will end at the Bazer’s home with a feast of “tacos in a bag” and some 9-square. Cost is $5 per participant. Please let Shane Bazer [email protected] know if you can be a driver.
