Current Sermon

1 Corinthians 7:29-31

29 What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; 30 those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep;31 those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

      5th Sunday of April

Last month, Christ Our King Community Church hosted an event several people from Ekklesia attended, Real Talk: Race & Culture. It was wonderful. When any month has 5 Sundays, we commit the 5th Sunday toward racial reconciliation. Part of this commitment involves growing in relationship with local churches who look different than us but share our heart toward reconciliation.

There are still some details to iron out (lunch after worship?), but we are planning to join Christ Our King for worship on April 30 at 10 AM (1500 Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610). Mark your calendars and join us!

      Teacher Appreciation Week 2017

Last year, we gave the staff and faculty at Athens Drive High School a Teacher-Appreciation-Week to remember! A mobile espresso / latte bar, made-to-order grilled cheese lunch, gourmet brownies and baked-goods, super-hero themed gift mugs … and more. It was EPIC!!

And we’re doing it all over again! Just like last year, we’re going to need your help! Click the pretty button below to sign up for this year’s edition of Teacher-Appreciation-Week! CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!!
